Yes, the brave Boxing Day swimmers are inviting you to join them this year on Porthminster Beach for fun and frolics.  And by donating £1 you will also be helping to raise some funds for a local charity at the same time (charity TBC).

You know you’ve always wanted to get half naked and take a dip in the sea on the day after Christmas Day, Well, here’s your chance. You’re all invited… friends, family, dogs and anyone else crazy enough to join in.  See you on the beach at midday on Boxing Day. Come on in – the water’s lovely. Can you wear a wetsuit? Absolutely! It’s all about having fun and this event is open to everyone. Be half naked or pop on your best winter wetsuit. The choice is yours.

If you don’t fancy a dip yourself, then please come and cheer on the swimmers. There’ll be hot chocolate and bacon butties from the beach café to keep you warm.
