The Shop Window Display Competition (sponsored by Greenwood Wilson) has become the most hotly contested events on the St Ives in December calendar as well as being a great showcase for the town.  It’s big draw for visiting crowds as they make their choice for the People’s Award – and good for business too.

If you’re looking for inspiration for your shop window, this year’s suggested theme is The Snow Queen to link with the Kidz R Us pantomime. But if you’ve a brilliant idea of your own, then go ahead and be creative.

On Saturday 15 December, we are delighted that Bob Devereux – local poet, artist and raconteur – and artist Anthony Frost  will be joining forces and  touring the town to decide on the winner of the Judge’s Shield for Best Overall Window Display with rosettes for: Best Interpretation of the Theme; Most Humorous Window; Best Small Window. Last year, The Lilac & Lime on Tregenna Place won the Judge’s Shield with John’s Spirits and Wines the unanimous winner of the People’s Vote.

Who will be the lucky winner(s) this time?
