We are delighted that luxury holiday lettings agency Cornish Gems and The Coffee Lounge, which offers  locally roasted, ethically sourced speciality coffee, have chosen to sponsor the St Ives Lantern Parade again this year.  They will be following the Snow Queen at the head of the parade with their bespoke and very distinctive crown and coffee cup lanterns.

So make sure you’re there on Super Saturday 1 December at 5.30pm, as darkness falls and the magical and mystical St Ives Lantern Parade takes to the streets dancing to the rhythm of Celtic Samba and their drums. Starting from Market Square and led by our very own Shanty Baba, the parade will head along Fore Street, then down the Slipway onto the Wharf before heading back up to Market Square, High Street and Tregenna Place before finishing in Royal Square for the official Christmas Lights Switch On (sponsored by SITA), the sign that Christmas is really on its way. This year, the Mayor will be joined for the switch-on by local Sam Harper Miller, who was nominated by the people of St Ives.
