Families out in force for Town Treasure Hunt

Families out in force for Town Treasure Hunt

This year’s Town Treasure Hunt was a family affair for locals and visitors. For the Wildings of St Ives walking around town together to spot the hidden Christmas words in shops has become something of a tradition, but this was the first time that they had managed to win a prize. Eleven-year-old Chloe (pictured here with her eight-year-old brother, Jowan)  was the first out of the draw. She will be sharing the Coco Kitchen Family and Friends voucher for a chocolate workshop (worth £60) with the rest of the family.

It was a first-time event for our other winners, who all reported how much they had enjoyed the Treasure Hunt. Second prize of £20 voucher for Fabulous-St Ives was won by eight-year-old Juliet Colclough, who was in competition with her two older sisters, Alex and Milly. Third and fourth prizes of £10 vouchers both went to frequent visitors: twelve-year-old Serena Chalmers from Holsworthy, near Exeter, and Matthew Huckle from Cranfield, Beds. Both were part of family teams and hope to be in St Ives for the 2018 St Ives in December events – dates to be announced soon at www.stivesindecember.co.uk and on our Facebook page.

A big thank you to Coco Kitchen and Fabulous-St Ives for generously donating the prizes, to the shops who took part and to all of you who took the Town Treasure Hunt challenge. Remember, if you didn’t win in 2017, there’ll be another chance this year.
